A New Home: Something to Celebrate

My brother in law and his wife invited us to their new home to watch the Super Bowl. Don't ask about the game, because I don't want to talk about it. I'm too depressed! Anyway, it was great to get out and I was thrilled to see their home.

I'm really close to my brother in law and love him like a little brother. His wife is great too. They are now officially first time homeowners and I couldn't be happier for them.

Their home is on ten acres with a huge pond, which makes a gorgeous view from the over sized windows throughout the living room and dining room. The home also features high, cathedral ceilings.

The master bedroom is a nice size with a large walk in closet, huge master bath with a separate tile shower and Jacuzzi tub. There are two other bedrooms, one that acts as a guest room and the other, which is my brother in law's music room. He plays guitar.

The kitchen is large, with an island and lots of cabinets and counter space and its open to the dining room. Off the dining room is a closed utility room. There is also a large foyer, which leads into a wide hallway that reaches the bedrooms and bathrooms.

The house gets a ton of natural light streaming through the windows and is bright and airy throughout. The wood floors are deep cherry and both bathrooms have pretty, natural stone tile.

They are still in the process of getting settled, adding a few finishing touches, and decorating, but it's a beautiful home. They're looking forward to spring so they can work on the yard and clear some more of their property. They have a lot of work to do, but it looks like they are going to enjoy every minute of it.
