Are You ready for Fourth of July?

Have you shopped and planned and prepared, and all that’s left to do is party? Well, check out some of these items, because you might just end up wanting to make a new shopping list.
Pam for the Grill
Pam cooking spray comes in a variety of formulas, including organic. It also comes in a high heat formula designed especially for the grill. Keep food from sticking and make clean up a snap!
Patriotic Puffs
Red, white, and blue star-shaped marshmallows will be a huge hit. From S’mores to kid-kabobs, they make a great, cute treat. What easier way is there to decorate Independence Day desserts than to pop some patriotic marshmallows on top? You can also use them to decorate other items, by simply apply white glue (just make sure no one tries to eat them!).
Watch the Fat
Those fat grams add up quickly with all that yummy picnic food. Try turkey franks, smoked sausages, and even turkey burgers in place of the usual fare if you’re trying to cut down on fat. Johnsonville and other brands have some tasty choices.
Cute Condiment Idea
This one isn’t in the red, white, and blue theme, but it is a really cute way to serve condiments during any picnic or summer party. Pick up some bell peppers in red, green, and yellow. Cut off the tops, hollow them out removing all seeds, wash and set on paper towels to dry. Then, fill the red one with ketchup, the yellow with mustard, and the green with relish. Don’t worry about waste… when you’re done using them, they can be emptied, rinsed, chopped, and added to pasta salad, potato salad, or another dish.
You get a Gold Star
Or, you get a bunch of gold stars, or silver, or an assortment of colors. Then, you simply stick them to a disposable tablecloth in your choice of colors. This is a quick, simple, inexpensive way to make the table just a touch more festive.
I hope each of you has a fun -and safe- Fourth of July.
