Bulb Flower Gardens

by Renee Dietz | More from this Blogger

Many people love the beauty that a bulb flower garden creates. For one thing, bulbs are perennials, which means once they are planted, the flowers will grow back year after year eliminating the need to constantly reseed or buy new plants. Additionally, the variety from which to choose is truly amazing. You can buy a Daffodil, Tulip, Iris, Lily, and many other types of flowers. Each spring, you can watch as your planed bulbs come back to life, bringing gorgeous color and fragrance to your garden.

A bulb flower garden is easy to create and fun. Simply choose the type of flower you want, such as Daffodil, Tulip, and so on, and then start with the preparation of the soil. For this, you want to choose rich soil that is full of nutrients, which will help the bulbs during the flowering process by enriching the amount of oxygen and nutrients taken in.

Next for your bulb flower garden, you want to start the actual planting process. If you have small children, get them involved. You will discover that children of all ages enjoy the time with mom or dad, and love getting their hands dirty without getting into trouble. As they watch their own Daffodil, Lilly, Iris, or other flower grow they will be delighted knowing that they did it.

Another important thing about a bulb is that you do not have to create this type of garden outdoors or in a large space. In fact, you can use a planter and create this type of garden on a balcony, rooftop, or even in the corner of the house. Bulbs produce magnificent color and usually produce tall, majestic plants. Therefore, if you love to plant flowers and want something that will come up automatically each year, consider a bulb garden.
