Note: This is a many-part series. Please also see Part I, Part III, and Part IV.

So far you know that we had a little bit of trouble with buying this buffet and hutch requiring assembly, as it came with no assembly instructions. Now for the next part!

A little over an hour after my husband got back from Wal-Mart, as he sat in the middle of the living room putting together the last few pieces of the buffet and hutch, I heard him say, "We have to call the company." I grumbled and asked why. "Well, if you want to be able to open the other cabinet door, we have to order the hardware because the screw is bent." Well, that's just wonderful! Nothing seemed to be going our way. But it looked so pretty on the box! In the meantime, we are just using it without that little knob.

So this morning I attempted to call the phone number on the instruction booklet. I got a busy signal three times and decided to quit because I was so frustrated at that point, I thought that whoever answered the phone was going to get the brunt of my anger. Then I noticed in small print that part replacement ordering is available on their website -- again, no name having to do with the supposed brand of the product I had purchased. I tried to go on their website and reorder the missing hardware, which was becoming more frustrating due to the fact that the site decided at that moment to be slow! Plus, by the time I got around to doing this, it was after dinner so I just wanted to watch my television show and go to bed. I clicked all of the categories across the top of the screen and nothing fit my situation. I finally found something that allowed me to do a product search by type. I clicked on Dining & Kitchen Furniture and then Consoles & Buffets. After the five minutes that it took for the page to load, I saw a message that said, "Sorry there is no product." Another road block!

At this point, it was time for my show to start and I had no patience left. I still don't, but I need that piece to make my beautiful buffet and hutch complete. It looks a little naked, still. I guess I will try and call them again tomorrow.

Watch for the next part in this series -- coming soon to a blog near you!
