It is amazing how much the weather can affect your home, and consequently your life. For the last couple of weeks, we have been shown this to be so true. From wind and rain that seemed to come out of no where and stayed practically forever, our home and yard has been greatly affected.

Bed bugs have come home. It used to be that you had to be concerned when you slept in a hotel. While that fear is very valid, you also have to worry about bed bugs at home. They hitch rides into your home in suitcases from your hotel rooms. They come into your home in delivery boxes.

I recently wrote about when you should call the insurance company in the case of household damage. I wanted to reiterate that just because you can't see damage to your home does not mean it's there. In our case, we could not see any damage on our very damaged roof.
