Alphabet Block Wreath

Here is a cute idea for a wreath that has old fashioned charm. Use it for decorating an old-fashioned Christmas, or to decorate a nursery or child's room. It would even make a nice gift for expecting parents! The wreath will be formed out of assorted wooden alphabet blocks and small toys.

This year, I am seriously thinking of having a perfect "theme" tree. Usually, we have our traditional tree that is an eclectic mix of paper ornaments, glass balls, tiny plastic reindeer and anything that might have caught the eye of a child anytime in the last 40 years.

Last night we carved our big pumpkin into a jack-o-lantern, or should I say bat-o-lantern, since the pattern we chose was a bat. This was the first time that we have actually carved a pumpkin in five years. Previously, our kids were too young to appreciate the activity.
