Do you do New Year's Resolutions?

I don't think I'm going to make any New Year's resolutions this year. I am going to try to be a better mom, wife, friend, sister, daughter, granddaughter, employee, and overall person, be better organized, stop procrastinating and get more done, and learn as much as I can... but these are continuous goals. After all, aren't each of us a work in progress?

While I may not be setting any specific goals, I'd like to make time for spiritual growth and simply try to make sure I keep things in good perspective, prioritize, keep what's really important at the forefront.

For those whom are making New Year's Resolutions, I wish you the best. I hope you are able to fulfill each of your goals. It's not always easy, but if you want it badly enough, you can do it. Have faith in yourself. If you slip, get up back and keep going. Don't take setbacks too hard; they happen.

I can't believe another year has come and gone so quickly, but they do seem to go by faster the older I get. I hope to make the most of each passing year, and I extend that hope to each of you as well.

The following may seem cliché, but I find inspiration in them:

"Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth." ~Mark Twain.

"Live well, laugh often, love much."

It is up to us to make our lives joyful, and learning to find the good in life no matter the circumstances, is the best way to live our lives to the fullest. Of course, that's easier said than done, but if I had to make a New Year's Resolution, that would be mine.

A very Happy New Year to you and yours.

See you next year!
