Family Fun in the Yard

You don't have to install an in-ground pool or a jungle gym to make your yard a fun place for you and your family to spend time together. There are many great activities that your family can enjoy, without ruining the lawn, and without spending a lot of money.

Croquet

Croquet only requires small, wire wickets when setting up. Wickets will leave small holes, but they are so tiny, they are unnoticeable. Croquet is a lot of fun for the entire family, and it teaches good hand/eye coordination.

Volleyball and Badminton

There are great combination sets available, complete with carrying case, assembly instructions, hardware, sports equipment, and rules for volleyball and badminton. The net can be set up easily in about an hour, and your family will have hours of fun playing these two games. Since both volleyball and badminton are very active games, they are also a great way for your family to get some exercise while having fun together.

Tetherball

Tetherball sets come complete with hardware, post, rope, and ball as well as assembly and play instructions. These sets are tested for safety and can endure hard play from children as well as adults. Choose from freestanding, portable designs or in-ground poles.

• Frisbee
• Soft-tip Yard Darts
• Hopscotch (or other games with chalk)
• Relay Races (throw in some water balloons!)
• Silly String Tag or Squirt Gun Tag
• Whiffle Ball

Use your imagination and encourage your children to come up with ideas. It feels good to spend time together laughing, playing, getting exercise, and enjoying fresh air and each other's company.
