The Kitchen Saga, Part One

Our kitchen is sad. While the rest of our house was duly beautified when we moved in, we just didn’t have enough money to fix up the kitchen. It shows. Our kitchen has delighted us by spewing from the dishwasher the first week we moved in, having the range hood stop working the next week, and throwing various cupboard doors at us in the years after that. Flooring for Your Home- Part 2

Tiles as I mentioned can be a problem when things drop. Also if you fall as I found out some time back. If they get wet they can become very slippery. Another disadvantage is tiles can also make the place feel colder in winter unless you have large rugs over top of the tiles. However, the opposite is also true. Building A “Green” Home

In honor of Sunday’s celebration of Earth Day I decided to write about “green” homes. In a previous blog I detailed my first tour of a “green” home. I found the house to be clean, comfortable, airy, and certainly energy-efficient.
