Home and Family: Seasonal Savings Everywhere!

I have been having a blast taking advantage of recent sales. It's become somewhat of a contest to see how many necessities I can obtain without paying full price. My husband and I were competing the other day, but I of course won.

I found socks and underwear on sale at a local store for 50% off. I even got the name brand stuff for half price. No way my husband could beat that deal! When we were clothes shopping for the kids, he did come up with some deals of his own. He found a jean jacket for one of our girls for 40% off and a cute spring jacket with lining for our youngest, which was marked down to just $3.00. I found name brand jeans for both younger girls at 75% off.

My husband and I got new shoes for 20% off, and I found lots of stuff for the house at great discounts. I needed some new bed pillows. Those were marked down too so now I'm enjoying fluffy comfort at little cost. I splurged on a few new Christmas decorations for next year. Yeah, it was a real "splurge" at 90% off! Ten cents on the dollar? Can anybody beat that?

With very little money, I was able to stock up on lots of stuff we needed and even a few things we wanted, including some craft stuff. Soon, winter coats will be on sale for just a few dollars and I'll be looking for some for the kids for next year (I already got gloves!).

I'm also looking at all the pretty winter whites and other soft, snuggly stuff that's on sale. I really want to update my master bed/bathroom, so those bedding and bath shops are calling my name.
