Home Week in Review: August 6 - 12

If you missed anything this week, don't feel bad. I missed a couple days myself, and had to backtrack to catch up. My area has been experiencing one of the worst heat waves in years and we had to conserve energy during the day to avoid power outages. There were days I had nothing on but air conditioners and fans (and sometimes the lights would still blink, making my heart race). With the heat index topping 115, I did not want my family to be without air conditioning. At that extreme, it goes beyond simple comfort and is more about health and safety. So, How Hot is it where You Live?

bathroom decoratingDo you have the decorating bug? As you start getting organized for the new school year, do you start getting the itch to redecorate? While you may not be able to do all you want to do right now, you can get started (at least a little) and Change the Feel of a Space with these Decorating Tips.

Maybe it's not the redecorating urge so much as it is a sense of feeling a bit confined. If so, try some of these ideas to Make Your Small Bathroom Feel Larger. If the issue isn't the size of the bathroom, but the existing design, there are some other options. If you have an older home and you really don't care for the tile, you might like these New Ways with Old Tile or you can try some More Tile Tips.

If you want to concentrate on décor for your little ones, try this Cute Decorating Idea for the Nursery or Playroom. It's simple and affordable but adds a nice burst of color and interest.

I hope you liked this week's line up. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have questions or feedback or if you'd like to see a particular topic covered.

As always, thanks for reading!
