Home Week in Review: July 30 - August 5by Sherry Holetzky | More from this Blogger 05 Aug 2007 01:01 AM Last week it finally dawned on me that summer vacation is almost over. I headed out to begin stocking up on school supplies and found some great sales. Finding such excellent deals on so many items persuaded me that this was a Good Time to Buy Supplies for the Home Office. Julie Gentry commented on that article and offered another tip, stating: "We also use this time to stock up on supplies to send overseas through AnySoldier.com." What a terrific idea! *Click here to learn more about AnySoldier. Next, on the list was Building a Deck. We are planning to build one (hopefully soon!) and if you are thinking about building one too, there are lots of available and interesting tools, plans, materials and other Resources for Building a New Deck. Following the deck articles was a piece for Stay at Home Moms. Taking care of a home and a family can be rewarding but it can also be more than a full time job. Moms also need time to take care of ourselves. On Friday, it was Odds and Ends. This is a list of tips, ideas, contests, and more that didn't require a full article each to tell you about them, so I grouped them together. I hope you found some of them interesting or helpful. Saturday I learned that The Rabbits ate My Roses! While we have had an unusually large bunny population this year, I never dreamed this would happen when I requested a rosebush for Mother's Day. If your yard has been taken over by bunnies, see the rabbit control article linked in the piece about the roses. That's all for now. We're heading out to shop for an air conditioner. I'll tell you about the install later (this should be fun), in case anyone else is adding a window unit. Unfortunately, our central air just can't keep up during heat wave conditions, and this coming week is supposed to be a scorcher.
