I remember being able to buy a TV knowing it would last for a decade or more. In recent years, you knew they would at run for at least 305 years, but the new Flat screen TV’s are incredibly disappointing with many of them needing repair or replacement in a matter of month. Recently Wayne was goofing around with our DVR again and decided to put it to use recording old Twilight Zone shows. Before he leaves for work most mornings, we sit in front of the TV and eat breakfast together. Last week Oprah did a show called “How to Affair-Proof Your Marriage: Why Men Cheat Part 2.” I don’t know if she had the “Part 2” planned or not. Because we were away on vacation and Wayne completely unplugged the T.V. (and thus rendered our DVR useless), I missed two weeks of The Greatest American Dog. One of the reality TV shows I ended up enjoying the most was Kid Nation. I wish the Greatest American Dog had a format more like that. Why I Liked Kid Nation I was not expecting to like the show. There was a new episode of “Greatest American Dog” last night, but thanks to my volleyball schedule, I’m a bit behind watching my DVR recordings. Once upon a time in our household, there was the question of whether or not to declaw Tabby. So far the “not to declaw” camp (a.k.a. mine) is winning. Judge me as you may, but I’ll confess: I’m nuts for reality TV. Not all reality TV shows, mind you. Some are even too dumb for me.
