Continuing the series, In Pursuit of More Organized Mornings...

Well, we have to get dressed each and every morning, but does it really have to be an exercise in frustration? No, it doesn't, and there are some ways to make it a much more organized process. Preparing clothes the night before, or getting the entire week's worth of clothing ready over the weekend, will give you a great head start.

Organized Outfits

Instead of placing clothes in dresser drawers according to the type of clothing, you may want to try a different idea, especially for children. Match pants and shirts, skirts and tops, and place outfits together in drawers. Your child won't have to keep asking, "Does this match?"

Keep your own outfits more organized by sorting clothes according to colors and styles. If another family member has trouble deciding which items look good together, organize his or her closet, pairing items that work well together.

Set up a shelf with separate sections, baskets, or bins for each day of the week. Place an outfit, a pair of socks, and underwear, into each day's section for your children. Also, place sports uniforms in bins on the days they are needed. You can even add other accessories such as coordinating hair ribbons, a sweater in case it's chilly outside, a cap, or matching jewelry.

Great Product

Another great idea is the "Keep it Together" storage center for kids. It's a clothes organizer that hangs in the closet (not tools required for hanging) and it has separate shelves for different days of the week. It's cute, colorful, and handy. Each day of the week is labeled on the front of the shelf, and there are also two other compartments at the bottom for shoes and things. You can place an outfit for each day on the appropriate shelf along with other accessories. For a similar but more frugal option, pick up a plain canvas closet organizer at your favorite store for around ten dollars.
