Ask a Food Blogger: Ode to the Divided Plate

Question: I am curious to ask you, what do you consider a necessity to have that helps you feed your family? I’m sure that this question was referring to what kitchen gadgets I consider a necessity but honestly, I consider anything that I have space for a necessity. The more versatile, good quality cookware that you have, the more you can do in the kitchen. However, since the question technically asks what do I consider a necessity to feed my family, my answer is simple: the divided plate. This is the best tool that I’ve found to get healthy food … Continue reading

A Thanksgiving Surprise… And A Chocolaty Product Review All In One

Let’s face it, there’s nothing better than spending Thanksgiving with friends and family while dining on a scrumptious homemade meal of turkey, stuffing, and all the fixings. I was blessed to be able to spend the holiday gorging on all of the traditional Thanksgiving fare. My wonderful friend happens to be a creative hostess who delights in making parties fun for guests of all ages. … Continue reading

One store near our home was offering an interactive display that allowed you to “Try Before You Buy.” The two products were affordable and didn’t require gasoline, electricity or help from an extra set of hands. It … Continue reading

Product Review: A Kitchen Gadget Request

I’ve done my share of product reviews in various blog categories from the cotton candy maker to the super chamois, the bag tracker to the pasta express, mopping shoes to bug zappers. I especially love reviewing kitchen gadgets. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—I love anything that claims it will make life easier. And, it would seem as though I am not alone. Judging by reader comments there are many people out there who share my love of handy-dandy products. A few months ago I got a comment from Jaime who asked if I had ever heard … Continue reading
