Product Review: GladWare Reusable Storage Containersby Sherry Holetzky | More from this Blogger 12 Feb 2007 10:45 AM I didn't run right out to buy GladWare Reusable Storage Containers. In fact, I had received a Smart Spin Storage System as a Mother's Day gift and figured I had plenty of quality containers. I happened to find out how good this product is after purchasing Sara Lee sandwich kits that came complete with deli meat and cheese, packaged in GladWare containers. The square container was a handy size and the lid closed tightly. They worked well for storing lunchmeat and cheese, so I decided to hang on to them for just that purpose. I didn't think that much about it at the time. I thought I'd use them a couple of times and toss them. I was surprised to find out that my daughter had put the container and the lid in the dishwasher, and even more surprised to see that it came out just fine (top rack). These containers can also be used in the microwave or in the freezer, and they are very affordable. The one I still have is just the right size for half a pound of lunchmeat. I often use it to store deluxe American cheese after opening the package. At one time, I did have a couple more of these containers, but I ended up using them to send home leftovers with company. My sister-in-law was the recipient of one of them and now she wants to buy more.
Glad has long been a trusted name and once again has a great product available. If you have not tried these handy containers, consider picking up a package. They cost just a few dollars and they are more than worth it. I never thought these would be anything I would ever buy. However, after finding out how convenient they are for "left over storage", sending treats to the neighbors, etc, etc, I find myself looking for them more often than my old "standby" storage containers. (And they are a lot more inexpensive than I anticipated as well.) Sherry Holetzky (11404) 17 Feb 2007 10:57 AMThanks, Jenn. Sometimes products are a pleasant surprise, and this was one of them for me, so I wanted to share. ;o) Community Tags Gladware, organize, storage containers, storage Discuss this article
