One Simple Change Can Make All the Difference

Sometimes an inexpensive item can make all the difference and really lift a room. It might be a new set of cushion covers, new curtains, a lamp shade or a collection of photos on the wall. Whatever it is it should be something that reflects you and your family and your interests. At one stage on one wall we had a collection of black and white photographs all taken by our daughter and taken around the area in which we lived. Framed in simple inexpensive black frames, they became a talking point when visitors came. Recently we bought a throw … Continue reading

Finding Your Roots from Jewish Historical Art

In times of personal struggle, strife, unsurety, I always look to one of the more subtle areas of my life where I feel I need to build more of a connection in order to get some answers. During the month of September I … Continue reading

This morning, I broke out the Play-Doh and spent over two hours rolling, cutting, shaping and growing hair with the world’s most famous colorful compound. There is so much to love about this stuff. It is readily accessible, fairly affordable, safe and non-toxic and is capable of entertaining a toddler, even one whose attention span is at an all time low, for hours on end. One of the strange things about my girl’s recent behavior has been … Continue reading
