Some of My Favorite Cleaning Products

I have stated before that I am not a neat freak. Housework has to be done, but it is far from being my favorite thing to do. Even though there are things I'd rather do, it is nice to know that there are some great cleaning products available that make cleaning quicker and easier.

Here are some of my favorites:

Soft Scrub

This is a great product for scrubbing tough stains without worrying so much about your finishes. It contains only a mild abrasive, yet it cleans great. The new design of the container (upside down with the opening/lid at the bottom) makes it easy to squeeze out every last drop when your scrubbing fixtures until they shine. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

Previously, I wrote a review of Magic Eraser. I've yet to come across anyone who's tried this product that does not love it. It works on everything, including carpet, which we recently learned from Lisa, our very own Families.com editor/manager. I would have never thought to use it on carpet, so I appreciate that great tip!

Goo Gone

I love Goo Gone, both the spray cleaner and the concentrated formula. They both remove substances that you didn't think would ever come clean from sticker residue and bubble gum to tough, greasy messes and stains. They smell good too!

Lysol All Purpose Cleaner

I usually use the concentrate but it also comes in spray-on varieties. You can use it straight or add it to a bucket of water to clean bathrooms, kitchens, floors, and more. It kills germs and helps keep your home sanitized. It works great, has a nice fragrance, and is a great addition to your supply cabinet especially during cold and flu season.

I *love* the Magic Eraser! It's so wonderful! I also like the Scotch high fiber cloths (or whatever they're called). One swipe and things are clean.

Some of the other cloths and sponges are good too, but I can't get over how great the Eraser works on so many things. Love it! Thanks for commenting, Julie.
