The Garden of all Gardensby Sherry Holetzky | More from this Blogger 20 Mar 2007 06:12 AM This is it. This is going to be our best and biggest garden yet. It's huge! It is at least twice the size of the biggest garden we've had so far. My husband and I have been working hard for the past several days and we're not done yet. We do have a good start though, nice and early, so our plantings can take advantage of those soon to be upon us April showers. So, what are we going to have in our garden this year? Let's not forget fruit. We're going to have big, beautiful, juicy strawberries, too. Oh, and herbs - I have always wanted an herb garden, and I decided on the following:
We are also having several other items:
Doesn't this list make your mouth water? I can't wait to start picking fresh fruits and vegetables. Garden fresh goods also mean the kids (and my husband) will eat healthier too. We had also planned to have asparagus, but we didn't have a clue how to grow it. Luckily, out here in the country there are places called ranch and farm centers and the people there are nice and very helpful. Come to find out, asparagus takes a bit more effort, but once it's established it should produce for 10-20 years. We figured we would go ahead and get some started now (more on that later, if anyone is interested in learning how to grow asparagus). Are you having a garden this year? Tell us about it!
