The Well-Stocked Toolbox

If you perform your own home repair or do it yourself (DIY) projects then a well-stocked toolbox is a must. The nice thing about having a toolbox is that you can build it up as needed, depending on your level of skill and the size and types of projects you do. Whether you simply want to hang a few pictures or whether you want to rewire some cable, having the right tools always makes the job easier. Here is a guide to the basic tools you should have. Little Tikes Cozy Coupe

My husband and I have assembled many things over the years. Few of them are fun to put together, but we’re used to doing it. We are usually pretty good at it and end up with a sturdy product. My daughter loves the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe. No matter where she is, if there’s a Cozy Coupe nearby, she has to be driving it, so it was only natural that we would add one to her arsenal of toys. In honor of the Cozy Coupe’s 30th anniversary a number of Coupe models have been restyled and reissued. The Princess Cozy … Continue reading

Putting in A New Front Walk

This weekend we took on the project of repairing our front walk. It was made up of 18-inch square flagstone that acted as stepping stones from the long driveway to the front porch of the house. It traveled straight for most of the walk and then turned in to the left to the house. We had a few issues with the walk. The first was the fact that the stepping stones had shifted out of place, and some of them even started to rise and tip in places. This was a hazard, and more than one person in our family … Continue reading

Hiring a Handyman

Lately we have been contemplating hiring a handyman to help us with some of the many projects around and outside our home. These are projects that are tough to prioritize into our project list for a couple of reasons. They are either of a non-emergency nature, they aren’t enjoyable to do and therefore get put off, they were started but not finished, or they just aren’t on my husband’s list to do, even though I would like to have them done. If you are thinking of hiring a handyman or handywoman to get some of your projects done, you should … Continue reading
